Ok ok.... So I used to despise Greek yogurt! A few at the gym would tell me I just GOTTA try this stuff because it's high in protein, yadda yadda.... But I was NOT having it. Honestly, I thought it tasted like s***! That is until I started mixing protein powder in it and them BAM! I. WAS. HOOKED. I know some of you may be skeptical but I'm telling you, this mixture is delicious and it even curbs my cravings for ice cream, no lie. Make this one your own by adding whatever tickles your fancy. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, bananas, almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, granola and the list is endless!! Check it out, make it and let me know what YOU think!

Conquer the Craving: Cheeseburgers
This recipe is worth sharing - for the simple fact that the Hubs devoured it! It saved me from going off the rails while also satisfying his craving for a 'big, fat, juicy, cheesy, gooey burger."
Now, just like any burger, you can change up this recipe to fit your dietary restrictions as well as your individual tastes. I topped ours with some home made croutons, finely chopped onion, shredded cheddar cheese and tiny dots of ketchup & mustard (because why not!?)

I am who I am
Have you ever sat and thought how you REALLY REALLY feel about yourself? Do you love yourself? Are you unhappy with yourself? SHOULD you be unhappy with yourself and why??
I think most of us feel we aren't good enough in same form. We're not pretty enough, thin enough, muscular enough, smart enough, and the list could go on and on. But are these things TRUE about YOU? I want you to really dig deep on this one.
I'm sure you've heard it before...AFFIRMATIONS. Positive ones of course...we are supposed to recite these positive things about ourselves over and over. In the mirror every morning, in our heads on the way to work and we are to believe these positive thoughts and affirmations about ourselves. I used to think "PPFFT!! This won't work...I'm never going to actually feel GOOD about myself!" But over a lot of time and hard work I started feeling OK with who I am and what I'm about. And then, BAM, it was like a light opened and I felt happy again, light, I felt GOOD and most importantly, not guilty about it. Of course we all have bad days and believe me, I still have my bad days where I'm feeling horrible about myself and I start telling myself these stories about how I'm not GOOD enough for anyone and what the heck am I doing in life!?
Please tell me I am not the only one here...
My real reason for this blog post is so that YOU can really believe that it is possible to feel good about yourself! Give yourself the self-love that you deserve...because believe me you DO deserve it! When you are happy and giving yourself the love that you deserve, you will open that light inside yourself and it feels so darn good that you start smiling more, laughing more, being HAPPY more! And do you know what that does to the other people around you?? They may not realize it and you may not realize it but it will in turn improve the lives of others around you. And who the heck doesn't want that? So start today! Start by looking yourself straight in the eyes and tell yourself that you are beautiful in every single way no matter what! Or whatever affirmation you choose...it can be different every day even! There are lots to choose from!
You are a beautiful badass, don't forget it,
Shannon

Better yet, how about this question - are you even 'playing the game?'
Diving deeper into what it means to stay motivated, this short audio just may open your eyes to new possibilies - are at least help shift your thinking into that of an excited child ready and willing to 'play the game.'
Want to get off your ass and stay in action?

Scientific Shift
What if you were able to change the way you 'thought about your thoughts' with one simple shift? How about the ability to accept or deny the things you think...or the power to say yes or no to the millions of SUGGESTIONS that float in and out of your head each day.Yes... I said suggestions, because THAT is the simple shift. The key to the door. The brilliant, mind-blowing way to control and discipline your actions, reactions, & emotions.
This quick listen digs a bit deeper into the little old almond-shaped Amygdala - the part of our brain that controls our perception of fear and safety. That tiny voice that wants us to stay stuck in the same space - because change is 'scary.'
It's time to be bold...Take a listen here: Slave 2 Suggestion
You have to be totally honest with yourself. Totally honest. Completely honest with yourself to see the way you’ve been carrying on. To see how your thoughts have been ruling you. Your mind has been telling you: ‘This is like this and this is like that. This is good, this is bad. This is right, this is wrong’. Being judgmental all the time, this is what has to be given up, totally and completely.

Shine your light & be seen
You ARE the light
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us. - Marianne Williamson
