Super RAD Apps for you! (and I don't mean appetizers)

Top 4 Apps that will keep you on track to stay fit and healthy!

Are you having a hard time keep track of it all?  Do you want a super quick place to go on your phone to keep track?  I have the perfect list for you!  Here are my top four apps!

1. My Fitness Pal (free)

My Fitness Pal (MFP) is a great way to keep track of your nutrition!  I use this app daily.  There are thousands and thousands of foods already listed in the app to choose from BUT there are a few features that I LOVE about this one.  First is the barcode scanner.  You can scan just about any food that has a barcode and it will pull it up on the app so that you can track it or create a recipe with it.  YES!  You can create your own recipes too! I love this feature as well.  Sometimes I like to know exactly how much protein/carbs/fats I am getting in my home cooked meals and this makes it simple as long as you know how many servings you have.  My third favorite features is the seeing my Macros.  Depending on your goals you may or may not care about the Macro feature.  I personally like to keep track of my protein/carb/fat intake.  One more thing! You can use MFP on your phone AND on your desktop computer if you choose.  There are many other features of MFP, such as recipes, blog posts, a whole community of people you can chat with too!  This one is a definite must for food loggers!

2. Fitbit (app is free - must have a fitbit watch/tracker though!)

So I know some of you may have Apple watches...and I'm sure there is an app for that as well but I have found that the majority of people I come into contact with, have a Fitbit.  Now - depending on which Fitbit tracker you purchase you probably have more or less options on this one.  I personally have a Charge 2, which tracks your heart rate, sleep patterns and more.  You can also log your food in this app as well, however, I have my Fitbit app connected to my MFP app so they work together.  It's awesome!  You can also track your water in this app too!  So many options...  There is also a Fitbit community so that you can chat or connect with people that have the same interests.  There are Fitbit challenges for the week and weekends too so that you and your friends can have step competitions!  Really great app to remind you to MOVE!  There are many other options within the app to get a Fitbit Coach as well.  The Fitbit Personal Trainer is a separate app but you can find it within this one.

3. Goal Tracker (free)

In this application you can create your own goals!  Whether it is working out, eating right, meditating, taking your vitamins, or taking a walk, you can track it in this nifty goal tracker!  If you miss a day it will automatically put an 'X' on that day, otherwise you can give yourself a check mark if you complete the goal!  You can also make daily goals, weekly goals or monthly goals.  You will also get a notification to complete a task if you haven't done so by a certain time (you decide when you set up the goal).

4. Fabulous: Motivate Me! (free but can upgrade for $$)

Ok...so this app could be your game changer.  It's incredible and gets you into simple good habits slowly and in a non-pushy way.  There is a ton to this one but it's all GREAT stuff!  Amber welcomes you and motivates you!  Like I said, you start out with simple ways to improve your life.  The first one is to drink water every morning you wake up for 3 days.  SIMPLE. Then you move on to other 'challenges' to improve you life.  I really enjoy this application and I encourage you to explore it.  There are so many avenues to Fabulous!
